Terms of Use

These terms govern the booking and use of private ground-transfer services provided by Cozumel Island Transfers, S. de R.L. de C.V. (“we”, “us”). By submitting a booking or paying for a transfer, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

We provide pre-booked private vehicle transfers in Cozumel, México, from the cruise piers (Puerta Maya, International Pier, Punta Langosta) to hotels, beach clubs, archaeological sites, downtown San Miguel, and the ferry terminal, and back. Vehicles range from 1–40 passenger capacity, all private (not shared).

2. Booking and confirmation

A booking is confirmed when we send a written confirmation by email or WhatsApp. Verbal or in-person agreements alone do not constitute a confirmed booking. Please double-check the date, time, destination, and passenger count on your confirmation.

3. Pricing and payment

• All prices on the Site are in US Dollars (USD), per vehicle (not per person), and include taxes and tolls.
• The price quoted at booking is final. No surge pricing, no curb fees.
• Payment is by credit or debit card at booking (Stripe). We do not collect cash from the driver.

4. Cancellation and refunds

• Free cancellation if you notify us at least 24 hours before pickup. Full refund processed within 5 business days.
• Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup are non-refundable. Exceptions: see below.
• Cruise reroute or port skip: if your ship does not call at Cozumel (for any reason), you receive a full refund — no questions, no fees. We monitor cruise itineraries daily.
• No-show: non-refundable unless you notify us before pickup time.

5. Ship tracking and on-time guarantee

We follow the arrival schedule published by the Quintana Roo port authority (APIQROO) for every cruise ship calling at Cozumel, and a member of our team checks your ship again before your pickup. If your ship is delayed, we adjust your pickup rather than cancel it.

Return-on-time refund: if you book a round-trip cruise transfer and we fail to return you to the pier before your stated all-aboard time (and the delay is our fault, not yours), we refund 100% of the transfer fare. Excludes delays caused by traffic outside our control, road closures, or guest tardiness.

6. Your responsibilities

• Be at the agreed pickup point at the agreed time. Drivers wait up to 30 minutes; after that, no-show rules apply.
• Book accurately. Vehicles are sized to your passenger count plus reasonable luggage. Extra passengers may not be accommodated and may forfeit the booking.
• Behave respectfully toward drivers. We reserve the right to refuse service for intoxicated or abusive passengers, with no refund.
• Children must be supervised. We do not provide booster or car seats — please bring your own if required (travels free in the vehicle).

7. Vehicle substitution

We reserve the right to dispatch a larger vehicle than booked at no extra charge to you. We do not downgrade without prior agreement.

8. Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from the transfer is limited to the amount paid for that transfer. Every vehicle dispatched for your transfer is operated by a licensed transport provider carrying the vehicle and passenger insurance required by Mexican law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., a missed cruise departure) where the cause is outside our reasonable control.

9. Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by hurricane, tropical storm, road closure, government action, port closure, civil unrest, strikes, or other events outside our reasonable control. In such cases, we offer reschedule or refund per Section 4.

10. Photos and reviews

You may take photographs in our vehicles for personal use. By posting a public review of our service, you agree we may quote it on this Site and in marketing materials with your displayed reviewer name and date.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States and the State of Quintana Roo. Consumer disputes may be filed with PROFECO (Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor) in México. Other disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cozumel, Quintana Roo.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. The version in effect at the time of your booking governs that booking.
