Cozumel Island Transfers is a licensed private ground-transfer operator based in San Miguel de Cozumel, Quintana Roo. We've been picking up cruise guests and cruise guests on this island since 2015.
Every vehicle is private — never shared. A/C, bottled water, daily inspection. We pick up at all three cruise terminals: Puerta Maya, the International Pier and Punta Langosta. You're not texting a call centre. You're texting Emma, in Cozumel — the same person who'll answer on the day of your trip.
What do you guarantee?+
Two things: we're at the meeting point at the time you chose, and we come back for you at the return time you chose. We watch your ship, so a late arrival moves your pickup instead of costing you the transfer. If we're ever late, we refund your transfer in full. No questions, no fine print.
Will the ship wait for me?+
No — and past a point it won't wait for its own excursions either. Here's how we make sure it never comes up: you pick a return time that puts you back at the pier well before all-aboard, that time is locked in when you book, and we watch your ship all day. If we're ever late, we refund the transfer in full.
What if I need to cancel?+
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup — we refund 100% to the same card within five business days. And if your ship never docks in Cozumel, we refund you in full without you having to ask.
How do I pay?+
Credit card, always — secure online payment at booking. No cash to the driver, no deposits, no surprise fees at the curb.
What happens on the day?+
The day before, we email you your terminal, your meeting point and your times. When you disembark, look for our English-speaking representative holding a sign with your name — the meeting point is a 5–7 minute walk from the terminal, and you can see the walk from each pier on this site before you sail. Your driver takes you to your destination and comes back at the time you chose.
What's included in my transfer?+
Round-trip private transfer in an air-conditioned private vehicle, and bottled water. Our English-speaking representative waits at our meeting point with your name on a sign and gets you settled; your driver takes you there and comes back at the time you chose. Your pickup and return times are confirmed in writing before you ride, so nothing important depends on a conversation in the van.
Where can you take me?+
Anywhere on the island: beach clubs, Mayan ruins, the marina, downtown San Miguel, the Playa del Carmen ferry terminal, or any address you have. If you don't see your destination listed, just message us on WhatsApp.
What if my ship is delayed?+
No problem. We pull every Cozumel arrival from the port authority's feed, and one of our team checks yours again before your pickup — so we adjust instead of losing you. No rescheduling fees, no missed-pickup penalties. Same for early arrivals.
Can I come back earlier than I booked?+
Yes. If your plans change, message us on WhatsApp with about 30 to 60 minutes' notice and we'll come for you sooner. One thing to know: the return trip runs once, so the whole group comes back together — we can't do one run for part of the group and a second run for the rest.
Traveling with a large group?+
Up to 40 passengers in one vehicle. Larger groups — weddings, corporate, multi-family — can book multiple vehicles departing together. Message us with group size, destination and date.
Do you provide child or car seats?+
No, we don't offer baby or child car seats. If you need one, please bring your own — it travels free in the vehicle.
Is the van easy to get in and out of?+
Our vans have a standard step up — most guests manage it easily, and our representative will steady an arm if you'd like. Folded walkers and collapsible wheelchairs travel with you at no charge. If anyone in your group uses a mobility scooter or needs a low step, message us before you book and we'll tell you honestly whether we can carry it.
Should I tip the driver?+
Tipping is customary in Mexico but never required. Whatever you feel is fair — your driver appreciates it either way.
- You walk off the ship at your own pace. No rush — we track your ship.
- A 5–7 minute walk from the terminal, our English-speaking representative is holding a sign with your name on it. They get you settled and answer anything you need.
- You ride in a private, air-conditioned vehicle — just your group, and bottled water.
- You're dropped at and you enjoy your day.
- At the time you chose, your driver is waiting at the same spot to bring you back.
- You're back at the pier at the time you picked. We recommend leaving at least 90 minutes before your ship's all-aboard time.
